NEXT GENERATIONS, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Boca Ration Regional Hospital:
“Deadly Medicine and Bio-Ethical Responsibilities:” in the 21st Century. Nazi Germany & Mengele’s Experiments, Lessons for Today
Distinguished panel of experts will broadly examine the medical community’s ethical responsibilities from both a historical and contemporary perspectives.
From 1933-1945, German physicians, scientists, public health officials and academic experts played a critical role in supporting and implementing Nazi racial hygiene policy. Looking back at that history, they will discuss the controversial ethical issues our society and the medical community are debating today balancing the needs of society as a whole with the rights of individuals, and the ethical responsibility of the medical profession.
